Job Summary: Accountable for developing, improving, and supporting all production processes associated with the launch, manufacture, and test of products in an assigned value stream or product line. CNC Programmer &amp; Machinist DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Review CAD Models and/or blueprints to determine ideal machining strategy, including what tools, speeds, feeds and work holding techniques to be utilized. Generate programs using CAM (Mastercam) software and run simulations to verify the program approach and revise as needed to increase efficiency and quality. Senior CNC Programmer

Position Summary: The Machinist II is qualified to run the machine on their own with minimal assistance. The operator will make minor adjustments &amp;/or tool offsets and will work with a more senior Machinist for any major adjustments. Essential Functions: <ul><li>Observes operation of machine(s) and verifies conformance of workpiece to specifications and dimensional tolerances as well as visually inspects parts for non-conformance.</li><li>Reads and interprets work instructions for product specifications, dimensions, tolerances, and tooling instructions.</li><li>Follows standard operating production procedures and work instructions. Performs work in a systematic manner to ensure all steps are carried out in proper sequence.</li><li>Reads and interprets measuring devices to ensure quality standards are met. If the operation is causing quality issues the machinist may troubleshoot the issue or stop production and consult with a senior CNC Machinist, Quality, or Supervisor.</li><li>Submits engineering change requests to supervisor for evaluation.</li></ul><ul><li>Interprets CMM report and makes necessary offsets.</li><li>Maintains production on multiple machines.</li><li>Properly sets any required offsets for the part to be machined after a basic tool setting process has been completed.</li><li>Interprets CNC program: units of measure, positioning system, tools, spindle speeds, feed rates, canned cycles, coolant use, axis destination movements, tool movements, and end-of-program code.</li><li>Performs preventative maintenance checks on machine. This includes checking all fluid levels, system pressure, tooling wear, component lubrication and cleaning.</li><li>Accurately report production results (labor time, part counts and status) in production system.</li><li>Properly report scrap and move to reject hold area or QC reject area.</li><li>Responsible for all housekeeping.
