We are looking to add experienced Part Time CNC Machinist to join our growing 2nd shift team. As a CNC Machinist, you will set up and opersate machines to produce precision parts. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in machining with prior set up experience, be adept at interpreting technical drawings, and have a passion for producing exceptional components. We are looking for 15-20 hours a week, preferably between the hours of 2:30pm-11:00pm. This is the perfect opportunity for a skilled machinist who is ready to cut back on the full time grind, but isn't ready to stop working just yet!

Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate CNC machines to perform various machining operations, such as turning, milling, drilling, or grinding.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
  • Edit G-code at the machine as needed.
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure they meet specified tolerances and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with other team members, including engineers, QA, and production staff, to ensure smooth workflow and efficient production processes.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes and product quality.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or relevant machining coursework preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of five years of experience as a CNC Machinist
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Exposure to G-code for making edits and adjustments at the machine
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges, to verify part dimensions.
  • Solid understanding of machining principles, cutting tools, and feeds and speeds optimization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail to identify and resolve machining issues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • A great attitude, work ethic, and willingness to work the 2nd shift (afternoon/evening shift) with occasional overtime as needed.
