CNC Programmer

You are an outgoing professional eager to apply your skills in the real world, curious about business processes and passionate about getting the job done right in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for an individual who is technically inclined, energetic, productive, and can handle multiple priorities in a timely fashion with a high level of accuracy.

The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:

  • Programing CNC fiber lasers and panel benders.
  • Reviewing part drawings and DXF files for compatibility to existing Laser capabilities.
  • Meeting schedules to ensure production achieve their targets.
  • Ensuring that material utilization and scrap reduction are priority when programming laser jobs.
  • Collaborating with sheet metal suppliers to prevent material shortage and ensure continuous production output.
  • Working cohesively with Engineering and Production to ensure that programs are accurate.
  • Supporting the production cells after hours, if required.
The ideal candidate for this position will have:

  • Successfully completed a Mechanical Engineering Technology or Manufacturing Technician Program.
  • Computer proficiency is required, specifically, experience with CAD/CAM (3D and 2D) programming, and experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
  • Previous CNC programming of sheet metal components is considered an asset.
  • A detailed oriented mindset with an ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints.
  • A self-motivated personality with a focus on attention to detail and is highly organized.
  • Ability to use precision measuring tools.
  • Knowledge of machining, including laser cut conditions, panel bender capabilities and/or experience running a Laser or CNC Press Brake would be an asset.
  • A commitment to Continuous Improvement and a passion for learning.
