Description
Job Summary:
Responsible for troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and repairs to various CNC machining equipment and support equipment in a metal processing environment.
Essential Functions of the Job:
1. Preventative maintenance of machine tools
2. Mechanical troubleshooting and repair of machine tools and production equipment including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
3. Electrical systems trouble shooting and repair of machine tools and production equipment.
4. Electronic controls component knowledge and minor repair
5. Maintains records of repairs, calibrations, and tests
6. Read complex mechanical drawings.
7. Read electrical drawings/troubleshooting electrical circuits.
8. Order mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components for equipment repair.
9. Check a machine's geometric accuracy after a machine crashes.
10. Keep records of weekly and monthly preventive maintenance.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities:
1. Good communication and organizational skills.
2. Team player with good attendance history
3. Able to work without close supervision and ability to multi-task.
4. Possess troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
5. Must have a minimum of 4 years' experience in CNC machining maintenance.
6. Ability to use micron/tenth dial indicators for various tests.
7. Ability to understand and use a voltmeter.
8. Have a good understanding of Fanuc, Mori Seiki, Brother and Okuma controls.
9. CNC programing experience to perform maintenance task.
10. Knowledge of and experience with CNC PLC's
Safety Requirements:
1. Wear all the required PPE: safety glasses, hearing protection, safety footwear, head protection.
2. Requirement to complete safety and work-related training: Electrical Safety, Machine Guarding, Fall Arrest, Forklift, LOTO - Authorized, Crane, Confined Space.
3. Comply with all established safety rules and policies.
4. Report unsafe conditions, all accidents, and near misses immediately to Supervisor or Manager.

1. Must be able to lift to 50 pounds.
