Job Summary:

As a CNC Programmer/Operator, you will machine components for production. Successful

candidates will monitor quality by taking measurements, detecting malfunctions,

troubleshooting processes, and adjusting and/or reprogramming control while adhering to

quality assurance procedures and processes.

Job Duties:

• Familiarity with CAD programming software, modeling, and manufacturing
• Prepare CNC programs and setup machine
• Support machine setup and operation personnel
• Modeling/Design of surfaces and support structures, nice to have
• Emphasis is placed on a continuous process of improvement
• The position will be a combination of office and manufacturing environment duties
• Comply with all applicable OHSA, ESA and other provincial regulatory laws, as well as company safety policies
• Any other duties as assigned by the Machining Supervisor or Senior Leadership team

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 year degree in machining, preferred
• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a setter/machinist in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with Cam software
• Knowledge of G & M Codes
• Must be able to work in a Team environment
• Experience with HAAS CNC mills and lathes nice to have
• Ability to machine all types of materials (steel, aluminum, stainless and plastics) Must be able to read precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, depth gauges)
• Must be able to read a print
• Must have good communication skills
• Must have good math skills
• Ability to work assigned hours plus overtime as needed

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time

Hourly Wage: $25-30 /hour based on experience

Afternoon Shift: 3pm - 11pm
